Money
for the Minister -- the Officiant
It would be nice if those of us who provide spiritual services had some magic connection to God, so we didn't need to pay the rent, shine our shoes, put gas in the car, and do all those things that everyone else does.
honorarium
Gratuity
Can I speak frankly for a moment?
Your wedding is not about us or how great we may like to think we are.
It's not about boosting our egos.
It's not to brag about how many celebrities we've married or how long we've been wedding officiants.
We are not prom queens, rose queens, former professors, or butt kissers
We don't try to impress you with pictures of ourselves at $50,000 weddings
Our home is not decorated to look like a museum of our accomplishments
Many people are swayed by a foo foo about the minister
If that's what you want, the web is filled with sites and officiants who can fulfill your needs.
We are skilled service providers who specialize in custom designing wedding ceremonies.
We do all our services on a donation basis. No one will be turned away because they cannot afford our services.
We do however asked to be justly compensated for our skills and talents.
If you are spending $10,000 dollars on your wedding and expect us to provide our services for a hundred dollars, please go elsewhere. Find someone who will show up at your wedding, read some words, and say you are married. There are is an abundance of people who do just that.
If you want a cheep wedding, go to the county office in Norwalk. You can get legally married there for $25.
If any of the following traits apply to you, please take your business elsewhere.
If you make appointments and then don't keep them and don't bother to call and cancel or reschedule.
If you spend an hour talking with an officiant about your wedding and then don't have enough courtesy to call them to let them know you've selected a different officiant.
If you are spending $10,000 dollars on your wedding and expect your officiant to provide his or her services for a hundred dollars.
If you are offended by the forthright honesty written on this page
If any of thse traits apply to you, please take your business elsewhere.
If you want a warm heart-filled ceremony, call us

A Small Piece of Advice
Become aware of how your future spouse treats others. Is that the way you want to be treated? If not, beware! Why? Because, given the means, the motive, and the opportunity, sooner or later he or she will be doing the same thing to you.

Suggested Donations For Weddings
fees, costs, donations
include list of costs from 1-800 wedding
Because all of our services are provided on a donation basis, there are no fixed fees or costs. The suggested donations cover a wide range.
We have provided services at zero donation for those who could not afford to make a donation and we have provided services to those who offered (and could afford) donations of $800 or more.
Because we want to provide you with the kind of ceremony and service that you desire, we suggest that your donation reflect four factors:
First is the time we allocate specifically for you --- the time, energy & effort it takes us to meet with you, to create and officiate your wedding ceremony, travel time, etc. Obviously, the expected donation differs between those who come to us for a bare bones legal marriage and those who want a custom-created ceremony, or who plan a large wedding, or who ask us to travel some distance.
The second factor is your overall wedding budget. Donations are customarily made in proportion to the wedding budget, remembering that the officiant is the third most significant person at the wedding following the bride and groom.
The third factor is the time, effort, and the numerous, less-than-joyous tasks we must complete --- even though these tasks are not visible as part of your ceremony. Please also remember that becoming proficient, competent, wedding ministers took years of work, study, and practice.
The fourth factor is that we suggest the donation be a reflection of the importance of your marriage, the importance of your ceremony and the value you place on the service we provide for you.
So as you can see, the topic of donations is something that requires a personal conversation. Together, we can talk and agree upon a figure that will honor both your desires and our services.
As a general ballpark figure, donations commonly range from $300 to $600 dollars.
If you are on a strict budget and have limited funds, we will accommodate your needs;
however
if you are spending thousands of dollars on your wedding, please don't ask us to work for peanuts. We are not your servants! We are highly skilled professionals and expect to be justly compensated for our services.
Thank you,
Add The worlds Most expensive Minister.
